Bagyong Goring persists in strength as it moves west northwestward, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
According to PAGASA, Bagyong Goring was located at 175 km East Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 155 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 190 km/h, and central pressure of 950 hPa. It is moving West Northwestward Slowly.
Goring is forecast to follow a mainly northwestward or west northwestward path across the Luzon Strait from today until it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow evening or Thursday morning.
