The Low Pressure Area at the east of Aurora has developed into tropical depression and was locally named as Maymay, PAGASA said on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
According to PAGASA, as of 4am today, October 12, Bagyong Maymay was located at 305 km East of Baler, Aurora with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 50 km/h.
Bagyong Maymay is slowly moving Southwestward.
Public storm warning signal has been raised in the following areas (see image below).

Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains is expected over Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Aurora, and Kalinga.
