Celeste Cortesi is the crowned winner of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 — she will represent the Philippines to this year’s Miss Universe pageant.
The 24-year-old native beauty of Pasay City bested 32 other contestants during the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Grand Coronation Night held at Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Aside from winning the coveted crown, Silvia Celeste Cortesi took special awards including Best in Swimsuit and Miss Photogenic.
During the Q&A Portion, Cortesi was asked, “If you could stop time for a day, how would you spend it?”
Her winning answer:
“If I could stop time, I would spend it with my family, especially mother. It’s been two years since I haven’t spent time with my family because they live in Italy, and I came here in the Philippines just by myself. If I had a chance to spend one day, I would definitely be with my mom, and I would just tell her how much I love her and I miss her.”
Other winners are Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022 Makati Michelle Daniela Dee, Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2022 Bohol Pauline Amelinckx, 1st Runner-Up Misamis Oriental Annabelle Mae McDonnell and 2nd Runner-Up Taguig Maria Katrina Llegado.
