Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy is the latest victim of celebrity death hoax.
Rumors about “Marcelito Pomoy being found dead in his hotel room” surfaced online when a certain scammer fabricated and uploaded a short video on Youtube saying that the singer has passed away.
The short clip shows the photo of the singer with caption “Rest In Peace.”
Zeibiz learned that the fake news has reached the singer and addresses the issue trough his Instagram account.
“Alarmed with this post.. Please don’t post fake news just to have views in Youtube… That is so not right.. I am really sad right now… I love how Vloggers earn money from all my performances in AGT and all but please don’t post like this… I AM ALIVE and KICKING!!! Thank you so much,” Pomoy said in his post.
Marcelito Pomoy is a famous Filipino singer that can sing in both male and female voices. He recently joined America’s Got Talent: The Champions and finished 4th place.
