Miss Philippines Catriona Gray is the announced winner of Miss Universe 2018, Miss South Africa finished runner-up.
Catriona Gray from the Philippines is the crowned winner of the recently concluded Miss Universe 2018 beauty pageant.
Philippines bested 93 other contestants during the Miss Universe 2018 grand finals held at at the Impact, Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday, December 16, 2018 (December 17 Manila Time).
During the Q&A portion, the final three contestants answered the same question “What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your life and how would do you apply it in life and in your term as Miss Universe?”
Philippines answered: “I work a lot in the slums of Tondo, Manila and the life there is very poor, sad and I’ve always taught myself to look for the beauty in it, to look in the beauty of the children and be grateful I would bring this aspect as a Miss Universe to see situations with a silver lining and to assess where I could give something, where I could provide something as a spokesperson If I could teach people to be grateful, we could have an amazing world where negativity could not grow and foster and children would have smiles on their faces.”
Other winners of the Miss Universe 2018 beauty pageant are Venezuela 2nd runner-up and South Africa finished 1st runner-up.
MisMiss Philippines Catriona Gray will fulfill her duty traveling around the world to represent the Miss Universe Organization and its various causes.
