Robin Padilla is being called racist and rude after forcing a Korean contestant to speak in Tagalog during Saturday’s episode of Pilipinas Got Talent

On Saturday’s episode of PGT, the show aired the audition of close-up magician Kim Jiwan from South Korea.

Kim introduced and described himself as a “Korean but Filipino by heart.” Before his performance, Jiwan asked if he could use Robin for his act, but Padilla refused.

“I’m very sorry, you cannot use me. Can you see that? Firstly, speak in Tagalog before you talk to me,” said Robin Padilla.

Angel Locsin breaks the tension and teach Jiwam how to ask for help in Filipino.

Things gets even more awkward when Padilla scolded Kim Jiwan.

The incident earned negative remarks from the viewers and called Padilla rude and racist.

At the end of Jiwan’s audition, Robin Padilla apologized and thanked him for embracing the Filipino culture. Padilla also gave Jiwan his third yes to qualify to the next round of Pilipinas Got Talent competition.
