Miss Philippines Karen Ibasco is the crowned winner of Miss Earth 2017!
Karen Ibasco from the Philippines is the announced winner of the recently concluded Miss Earth 2017 beauty pageant held at the Mall of Asia Arena, Saturday, November 4, 2017.
The Filipina beauty bested 84 other contestant during the Miss Earth 2017 Grand Finals.
During the Question and Answer Portion “Q&A,” the Top 4 finalists are asked with the same question: Who or what do you think is the biggest enemy of Mother Earth and why?
Miss Philippines Karen Ibasco’ winning answer is: The real problem is us because of our ignorance and apathy. What we have to do is to start changing our ways to start recalibrating our minds and redirecting our steps. Together as a global community, our micro effort will have a macro effect to help save our home, our planet.
Other winner are Australia as Miss Earth Air, Russia as Miss Earth Fire and Colombia as Miss Earth Water.
Miss Earth pageant aims to raise awareness to the tourists and travelers regarding ecological conservation in order to directly benefit the economic development and to foster respect for different cultures and for human rights.
