Hashtag member Franco Hernandez died in a drowning accident in North Lamidan, Davao Occidental on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was 26.
According to reports, Franco and his girlfriend went to Tom Doromal’s resort in Davao where he met the unexpected accident.
A strong wave hit their motorized banca, causing him to fell off the water. He was saved by the boat crew but already unconscious when he was rescued.
Franco’s body was rushed to a clinic but was declared dead on arrival.
His management, Cornerstone Entertainment, released a statement confirming the actor’s death.
“It is with deep sadness and grief that we accept the news of Franco Miguel Hernandez Lumanlan aka “Hashtag Franco’s” passing today. He was a very promising talent and a true star in every sense of the word. He was passionate, hardworking, humble and liked by all. He lived his life following his dreams and made every second count. Franco was not just our talent… He was part of our family. And our hearts break into a million pieces for such a young life gone too soon. We will surely miss him. Rest In Peace our ever dearest Franco.”
