Apple has announced the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus along with special edition iPhone X.
The new iPhones are finally here. Apple unveils the new iPhone 8, the successor to last year’s iPhone 7 on September 12, 2017.
The phone comes in two memory capacities, 64GB and 256GB. iPhone 8 is available for pre-order on Friday, September 15, and it’ll be available next week on September 22. In the US it starts at $699.
iPhone 8 has glass back and front panel made with “the most durable glass” in the smartphone world. It has a 4.7-inch Retina display, while the iPhone 8 Plus measures a larger 5.5 inches.
iPhone 8 also features 12-megapixel rear camera, augmented reality and capable of wireless charging.
Meanwhile, the iPhone X is equipped with 3 gigs of RAM and dual-core “A11 bionic neural engine” chip that can perform 600 billion operations per second.
iPhone X features Super Retina Display with 2436 x 1125 pixel resolution, Face ID, no home button, Animoji, augmented reality, dual 12-megapixel cameras, front facing 7 MP camera, Qi wireless charging, and it’s water proof.
iPhone X starts at $999 US. The 256GB version costs $1,149. Preorders begin October 27, and the phone ships November 3. It will be available in space gray and silver colors.
