Apple iPhone 8 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 8 waterproof test, which smartphone does well under water?
The Apple iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 are now out in the market. One of the special aspect of these new devices are the water proofing feature.
The iPhone 8 water resistant is rated with IP67 certified while Galaxy Note 8 is rated with IP68. The Note 8 can survive and go deeper than iPhone 8.
What does IP rating means?
IP stands for International Protection. The first digit stands for resistance in objects. Rating 6 covers dust, dirt and sand resistance. The second digit is water resistance, which includes depth and pressure under watter.

Here’s another extreme test, soaking both units in coca-cola and putting it in freezer while turned on.
The results shows that both phone works well and survived the test.
