LOOK: ₱52M cash, ₱27M cheques Recovered from Maute Group in Marawi


Philippine Marines recovered ₱52M cash and ₱27M worth of cheques from an abandoned post of Maute group in Marawi City on Tuesday.

A total amount of P79 million has been discovered in a house after the Philippine Marines clears a machine gun post of Maute group in Mapandi, Marawi City.

While no details yet about the huge amount of money, it was believed to be the funds coming foreign terror groups.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the Marawi siege reaches 188 including civilians, enemies and military forces.

At least 30 civilians and 38 government troops have been killed while 120 from Maute group.
