Mocha Uson has been appointed as Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary and Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon is not happy about it.
In a series of tweets, Mariel de Leon called Uson as “biased and disrespectful.”
The issue began when De Leon re-tweeted a post from Jan Daniel Belmonte which reads:
“Our government is legitimizing its fake news campaign. Wala na talagang hiya, harap-harapan ang kalokohan.”
The post drew attention and netizens started to asked her opinion about Mocha Uson’s PCOO appointment.
“I love my country so it breaks my heart to know someone like her got a position in the govt,” de Leon said in a tweet.
When a fan asked her to define Uson, she said:
“Biased and disrespectful. She insults those who are against her. I’m not for her, I’m not for the other side (whatever that may be).”
De Leon get bashed for her opinions but stands firm. She then encourage people to share ideas and to educate, not belittle and insult.
The beauty queen also said that she’s glad that there’s a platform to voice out her opinions.
In the end, De Leon said she hope for change.
