According to The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or Phivolcs, the epicenter was at 13.71°N, 120.83°E – 007 km N 37° W of Tingloy in Batangas. The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth 3 km.

Intensity 4 was felt in Makati City, Obando, Bulacan. Intensity 3 in Mandaluyong City, Quezon City, Gen. trias & Dasmarinas, Cavite, Santa Ana, Manila, Lucena City, Quezon while intensity 2 in Talisay, Batangas and Pasig City.

No Tsunami warning given after the quake.
