Senator Leila De Lima has surrendered to the PNP on Friday after a Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court judge issued a warrant over drug charges filed against her.
De Lima was arrested at the Senate at around 8am and was brought to Camp Crame for booking procedures.
“I will go with them voluntarily. I have faith in God that I will be able to hurdle this,” said De Lima.
“It’s my honor to be jailed for the principles I am fighting for. The truth will come out at the proper time,” she said before the arrest.
Below is the video when De Lima turned to authorities and and her mugshot.
