Magnitude 4.4 earthquake shakes Luzon, epicenter hits Quezon


A 4.4 magnitude earthquake shakes Luzon at around 3:10 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2016.

According to The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or Phivolcs, the epicenter was at 14.83°N, 121.44°E – N 67° W of General Nakar, Quezon. The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth 21 kms.

Intensity 3 was felt in Quezon City and Intensity 1 in Lucban, Quezon, Tagaytay City and nearby provinces.

No Tsunami warning given after the quake. No expected damage from magnitude 4.4 quake as well as aftershocks.
