Colangco says De Lima gets 3M every month from NBP drug lords

Convicted drug lord Herbert Colangco says Leila De Lima receives 3M every month from New Bilibid Prison drug lords.

In a affidavit submitted to DOJ, Colangco revealed that the Carcel Side, a coalition of gangs of inmates from the Visayas and Mindanao which he leads, had given Leila  de Lima 3M per month.

Colangco said the payment serves as ‘payola’ to keep their businesses thriving inside the prison.

Aside from illegal drug trade, Colangco exposed that he is allowed to sell canned beer inside the prison, which he said he could earn P3 million for 300 boxes — 1M will go to De Lima as her share in approving the entry of the beverage inside the facility.

Colangco and several high-profile inmates including Noel Martinez will testify versus Leila De Lima during the House of Representatives inquiry on the proliferation of illegal drugs in the New Bilibid Prison.
