A riot in New Bilibid Prison Wednesday morning leaves Tony Co dead and three high-profile inmates including asset Jaybee Sebastian hurt.
According to reports, Chinese drug lord Tony Co died while three other high-profile inmates including Jaybee Sebastian, Vicenty Sy and Peter Co were hurt in a stabbing incident inside Building 14 of the New Bilibid Prison on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
Secretary Aguirre told reporters that Peter Co was in critical condition while Sebastian was now in a stable condition at the Medical Center of Muntinlupa City.
Initial report said that the drug lords were having a session in their quarters. A fellow inmate tried to stop them but Tony Co allegedly attacked him with a knife. The incident happened at around 7:40 a.m.
On social media, Netizens linked Leila De Lima to the incident, accusing the Senator as mastermind to prevent Jaybee Sebastian from testifying and “spilling the beans” against her.
Sebastian was invited by the House Committee for inquiry. Aguirre said Sebastian is the key witness to the alleged illegal drug trade inside NBP
