Boxing champ turned Senator Manny Pacquiao has delivered his first privilege speech at the plenary hall on Monday. His speech tackles the restoration of the death penalty on heinous crimes.
According to Senator Pacquiao, death penalty is lawful, moral, and sanctioned governmental action.
“Having read the Bible on a regular basis, I am convinced that God is not just a God of mercy, but he is also a God of justice,” said Pacquiao before citing series of biblical verses.
