The gown of Maine Mendoza during Tamang Panahon concert on Saturday draws debate online.
Following the historical Eat Bulaga’s Tamang Panahon AlDub concert at the Philippine Arena on Saturday, a photo of Kim Chiu wearing the same gown Maine Mendoza wore at the event surfaced online.
Gossip site Fashion Pulis posted the photo saying the “stylist lets Maine Mendoza wear a recycled gown.”
A certain Justin Joshua Salcedo Saraza on Facebook also shared his disappointment saying why they let Maine wear a “second hand” gown.
While the post brought confusion to fans and followers, Francis Libiran, the gown designer, released a statement on Instagram to clarify the issue.

Maine Mendoza’s gown at Eat Bulaga’s Tamang Panahon concert for a cause was bought and paid for by Eat Bulaga Production.
Kim Chiu wore this gown at the Metrowear Icon Francis Libiran fashion show as a model.
This gown has not been worn at any other event by any other celebrity.
Kim Chiu also tweeted her response regarding the gown issue on Sunday.
