Pinoy girl group ‘4th Power’ are forced to rebrand their name to ‘4th Impact’ on X Factor UK.
According to reports, the group have been involved in a copyright issue with another group who claim that they had been using the name 4th Power.
“Yes, 4th Power are in the process of changing their name. No decision has been made yet,” a source close to X Factor said.
The Phillippines-born sisters suffered the same fate of now household names Little Mix and Fifth Harmony.
In 2011, Little Mix originally known as Rhythmix, were forced to change their name during the competition for the same legal issues.
Popular group Fifth Harmony had also trouble with their name during the X Factor USA 2012 completion. The girls were called LYLAS before changing it to Fifth Harmony.
