Class Suspensions for July 6 due to Egay


The Department of Education announced the suspension of classes for Monday, July 6, in  the following areas due to bad weather and flooding brought by storm Egay.

Below is the updated list of class suspensions for July 6, 2015 due to typhoon Egay.

ALL LEVELS

  • Benguet, including Baguio City
  • San Fernando City, La Union
  • Bauang, La Union
  • Agoo, La Union
  • Ilocos Sur
  • Abra
  • Cavite Province
  • Pateros
  • Malabon City

PRESCHOOL TO HIGH SCHOOL

  • Alaminos, Pangasinan
  • Calatagan, Batangas
  • Balayan, Batangas
  • Calaca, Batangas
  • Ilocos Norte

Meanwhile, tropical storm Egay has maintained its strength while moving over Luzon sea. In the latest advisory of PAGASA, Egay was located at 125 km Southwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph.

Storm signal #2 was raised the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan group of Islands, Apayao, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and Abra.

Storm signal #1 is Pangasinan, Isabela, Benguet, La Union, Mt. Province and Ifugao.
