The Voice Season 8 contestant Anthony Riley found dead. He is 28.
According to reports, Anthony Riley took his life, and was found Friday in the basement of the Center City apartment where he was staying.
The said report was confirmed by his friend Tootsie Iovine to Philly.com. Robby Parsons, a friend of Anthony, also confirmed the shocking news to Yahoo Music.
Few months ago, Anthony Riley quits The Season 8 of The Voice for rehab. The 28-year-old singer and street performer from Philadelphia said he struggled with drug addiction for two years, but since leaving The Voice he has completed a rehabilitation program at a local center.
After leaving competition, Riley told NBC that he’d like to be a part of Season 9. Riley said he’s rebuilding his career while continuing outpatient treatment and therapy.
