The owner of the car involved in Taguig hit-and-run incident has been identified.
LTO spokesman Jason Salvador said that they have already identified the owner of the Toyota Avanza with plate number UIQ-1764, who hit Randel Delos Reyes along C-5 road in Taguig City. Authorities also said that they are now looking for the driver of the car.
Randel Delos Reyes, a Grade 10 student at Sen. Rene Cayetano and Technological High School, received head and body injuries after getting hit by a car along C-5 road on Thursday.
The 15-year-old boy was said to be riding his bike on his way to school when suddenly a speeding van hit the rear part of his bicycle when he was about to make a turn. The boy’s face was severely wounded when he fell headlong from his bike.
“The road was clear that time. I was about to make a turn when suddenly, there was a speeding van behind me. Of course I could not see it so I wasn’t able to avoid the vehicle. It crashed against my bike,” Randel told ABS-CBN News.
The mother of the victim, Mary Fe delos Reyes, said the driver of the vehicle should now submit to the authorities and face the charges she will file against him.
