Breaking News: Indonesia President Joko Widodo calls for emergency meeting on Mary Jane Veloso case!

Indonesian leader Joko Widodo is reported to have called an emergency meeting regarding the case of Mary Jane Veloso after learning that her alleged recruiter surrendered to police this morning.

According to GMA News, Widodo met with the Indonesia Attorney General’s Office following the report of Veloso’s recruiter being in the custody of the Philippine police.

Marites, sister of Mary Jane Veloso, said in an interview with dzBB that Widodo called for the meeting at 2:30 p.m.

Maria Kristina Sergio, surrendered to the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office in Cabanatuan City around 10am today. She voluntarily turned herself to the authorities because she was fearing for her life.
