Nino Alejandro performed his version of OPM hit ‘Nakapagtataka’ on The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 Live Shows on Saturday, January 24, 2015.
“Congratulations, it’s so nice to hear your own version of the song. I’m pretty sure your uncle is very, very proud of you right now,” coach Apl told Alejandro.
“That was awesome and amazing. Everything we’ve worked hard to achieve, you just achieved it there. What you did to the song is great, you did not imitate or copy the original. That version is really yours. So you took something of an inheritance and nobody would say, that sounds like Hajji, that sounds like Rachel, it’s Nino,” said coach Lea in her remarks.
In the Live Shows, the artists will compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience will vote to save their favorite artists.
The singer with the highest percentage of votes will immediately move on to the next round of the competition. The coach will then have to choose who between his or her two remaining artists gets to stay and gets eliminated.
