ABS-CBN news anchor Korina Sanchez is in hot water after making insensitive remarks regarding super Typhoon Ruby.
In the December 3 live broadcast of ABS-CBN news program TV Patrol, Korina Sanchez said “she hopes Typhoon Ruby will hit Japan instead of the Philippines.”
Below are the controversial remarks of Korina during the discussion with Noli De Castro and Ted Failon.
Korina: We can still pray so that the typhoon will veer away.
Noli de Castro: Hopefully, only half the typhoon will hit us and the other half will hit Japan.
Korina: Is it possible for the entire typhoon to just hit Japan?
Noli de Castro: Hope not.
Korina: Let Japan have it all, looks like they’re more capable to face Ruby.
Right after the news program, netizens immediately vents opinions and reactions on social media sites Twitter and Facebook condemning the remarks made by the news anchor.
If Korina Sanchez becomes the first lady of the Philippines, that would be an increase exponentiallly in her stupidity. we are sorry Japan.

This is not the first time for Korina Sanchez to get involved in the same controversy. Last year, she made negative comments to CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper about his report in typhoon Haiyan in Tacloban.
