Below is the short recap of Team Adam, Team Blake, Team Gwen and Team Pharrell’s performances during the Live Playoffs.
Team Adam Levine:
Chris Jamison sings “Don’t” by Ed Sheeran. “You contain yourself well. You have control, balance and intangible quality,” said Adam. “The long notes in the song are nearly impossible to do but you balanced it really well,” said Gwen.
Matt McAndrews performed “God Only Knows” by The Beach Boys. “You are fearless, unique, sincere, genuine and there’s nobody like you,” said Adam. “You have so much personality oozing out of you,” said Gwen.
Mia Pfirrman performed “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey. “The musicality was great, you were like the star in that performance,” said Pharrell. “Now, I finally hear the real tone of your voice and I am so amazed,” said Adam.
Taylor Phelan does “Cool Kids” by Echosmith. “You blew us all away from the start. The cool thing is you just keep impressing everybody. I think this performance is incredible. You amazed me,” said Adam.
Damien sings “I’m Not the Only One” by Sam Smith. “I love your ability to combine soft smooth voice with power and range,” said Blake. “This room and the whole country felt that performance,” said Adam.

James David Carter performed “Two of a Kind” by Garth Brooks. “All your experience you have at this point is really paying off right now,” said Blake. “You sound like a record,” said Gwen.
Reagan James sings “Try” by Colbie Caillat. “You played the guitar and sing live on national television, that top performance and emotion is unbelievable,” said Blake. “It was a lot of pressure and you did it effortlessly,” said Gwen.

Team Gwen Stefani:
Bryana Salaz performed “Amnesia” by 5 Seconds of Summer. “We saw you getting better with that performance. You grew as a singer right before our eyes,” said Blake. “You did everything right, you’re so talented,” said Gwen.
Ricky Manning sings “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith. “You deserve your position in the show,” said Pharrell. “You were so tasteful and you put your personality in the song, I though you were incredible,” said Gwen.

Elyjuh Rene performed his version of “Latch” by Disclosure feat Sam Smith. Moving and singing like that is mind-blowing, you are so talented,” said Gwen. “You came up here and show who and what you are. Stay on that path, your voice is amazing,” coach Pharrell adds.
Jean Kelley sings her rendition of “Piano in the Dark” by Brenda Russell. “The vocals was compromised by the drama,” said Adam. “I agree with Adam and Gwen what they are saying with the drama, but you just have set the difference. This is just the beginning,” said mentor Pharrell.
Sugar Joans belts out her version of “I Say a Little Prayer” by Aretha Franklin. “That was the best performance of the night,” said Blake. “I just felt every moment of it. You just took off an emotional roller coaster ride,” Pharrell adds.
