Sarah Geronimo wins the Best Southeast Asia Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards!

Pop star princess Sarah Geronimo is the announced winner of the Best Southeast Asia Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Thursday, October 23, 2014.

The 26-year-old Filipino singer beats NOAH of Indonesia, Yuna of Malaysia, Stefanie Sun of Singapore, and Slot Machine of Thailand.

Winning the category qualifies Sarah Geronimo to the next round of the competition, which will gave her a chance to represent the region in the Worldwide Act category.

Sarah Geronimo is vying for the spot against BiBi Zhou of China and Hebe Tien of Taiwan — the artist with most votes in regional category will become the region’s Worldwide Act nominee.

The Worldwide Act winner will be announced at the MTV EMA show at The SSE Hydro in Scotland on November 9, 2014.
