Luke Wade and Taylor Phelan battled it out for a spot on Team Pharrell on The Voice 2014 Knockout Rounds, Monday, October 27, 2014.
Luke performed ‘Rich Girl’ by Hall & Oates while Taylor sang ‘Rather Be’ by Clean Bandit.
“You guys are both really good,” said Gwen. “Luke, that was a perfect song of your voice and on top of that, you have such command on the stage. Taylor, it’s fun to see you without the guitar and how you move on the stage,” she adds.
“You guys are the two major loses to me in the blinds. Luke, you are just Luke and its enough and its really incredible but I did get to see another side of Taylor that I really enjoyed,” said Adam.
“Luke, it’s literally unbelievable how good you are. You left the door open for us to all watch Taylor and actually performed the message of the song,” said Blake.
“Taylor, you really let like the world end you got to let them see what really makes you tick. Luke, I probably would have shaved off the 25 percent some of those things and left it with the most special part but you went with the feeling,” said Pharrell.
The winner of the knockouts is Luke Wade. Gwen, Adam and Blake are up for steal however Taylor Phelan picks Team Adam.
