Dean Ray sings ‘Folsom Prison Blues and That’s All Right Mama’ on The X Factor Australia 2014

Dean Ray performed a mash-up of ‘Folsom Prison Blues’ and ‘That’s All Right Mama’ by Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley on The X Factor Australia Top 4 Power and Passion Live Shows, Sunday, October 12, 2014.

All four judges gave Dean a standing ovation. Here’s what they have to say about his performance.

“I’ve been taught tonight, critics are really important. It’s such a breath of fresh air to finish with that performance tonight. You got to make it to finals,” said Ronan.

“Doing a classic song and classic artist and having it feel like that and move people like that.. that’s what I’ve been talking about. It have the energy and it have the passion,” said Redfoo.

“What a performance, what a voice, what a performer. I hope people get Dean because there are so much more to him,” said Dannii.

“Every time your on that stage, it is where you belong. Everyone wants to buy your album,” said Nat.
