Watch as emotional Cherie Gil apologizes to comedian Vice Ganda on It’s Showtime!
Veteran actress Cherie Gil took her chance to say sorry to Vice Ganda after publicly criticizing the comedian about the ‘rape joke’ he made at his concert last year.
“I’d like to personally apologize to you,” Cherie Gil told Vice Ganda, adding, “I know that at some point in the past I have reacted to one of your stand up stints which maybe perhaps have been written by someone else and I didn’t take that into consideration at that time.”
“I realized that at the end of the day it all comes down to getting to know the person better and understanding every story that each person goes through. Today, I saw your authenticity and your honesty,” Gil said.
“Thank you, Vice Ganda, so much for letting me get to know you today in the deepest, more real sense, in your most honest being, and for letting me get to know you, you as a person through that song,” she adds.
Cherie Gil tweeted a remark last year calling Vice Ganda as “one of those scums of the earth.”
