Veteran actor Mark Gil passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014. He was 52.
It was reported that Mark Gil died of liver cirrhosis. His manager June Rufino confirmed the sad news.
“As of now, the family is in deep grieving and they want private time with him,” Rufino said in a statement given to ABS-CBN News.
Mark Gil is the son of Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil. He is the brother of actors Michael de Mesa and Cherie Gil. He is the father of Timmy Eigenmann known as Sid Lucero and Maxene Eigenmann from actress Bing Pimentel.
He is also the father of ABS-CBN star Andi Eigenmann from another actress, Jaclyn Jose.
Mark Gil was recently seen in ABS-CBN drama series The Legal Wife starring Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador. He also appeared in GMA-7 hit primetime series My Husband’s Lover last year.
