Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee, Simeon Raz allowed to post bail in Vhong Navarro mauling case


Court allows Vhong Navarro mauling suspects Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee and Simeon Raz to post bail on Monday, September 15, 2014.

According to reports, the Taguig Regional Trial Court granted Cornejo, Lee and Raz to post bail of Php 500,000 each for the serious illegal detention case filed by actor Vhong Navarro.

Navarror’s lawyer Alma Mallonga, said she was shocked by the court’s decision.

“We will question the resolution, we will pursue all the remedies that are available to rectify the situation. A crime has been committed,” Mallonga said in a statement posted at Sunstar.

Cornejo was in custody of the CIDG in Camp Crame, while Lee and Raz are detained at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig.

The three are the primary suspects to the mauling of Vhong Navarro at a condominium in Fort Bonifacio Global City on January 22, 2014.

Serious illegal detention is a non-bailable offense!
