MRT-3 Train Derails at Taft Avenue Station – Photos and Videos

A Metro Rail Transit MRT-3 train was derailed at Taft Avenue Station in Pasay City — the incident happened on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.

According to media, the incident has injured some of the passengers and causes a post to fell over a car. In an interview of DzBB, a passenger claimed that the problem began in the Magallanes station when the train air-conditioning went off.

We started panicking. The train was still working but there was no air-conditioning.

Following the incident, DOTC-MRT3 posted an advisory on their official Facebook page which reads as:

The MRT regrets the unfortunate incident, the management will extend all necessary assistance to those injured and inconvenienced. The management is determining with certainty the cause of accident even as measures as being put in place to ensure the safety of the riding public. Thank you.
