Marlisa Punzalan and girl group Trill have made it to the Top 12 of The X Factor Australia — the Pinay singers will compete in to the Live Shows starting next week!
Before getting listed to the top 12 acts, Marlisa Punzalan impress her mentors Ronan Keating and John Legend with her emotional cover of “I’ll Stand By You” by the Pretenders during Home Visits round.
Marlisa is the youngest contestant in the competition this year — she in only 14. Her musical influences are power-house singers like Whitney Houston, Maria Carey, Christina Aguilera and more.
Meanwhile, Trill made the Top 12 cut after delivering an exceptional cover of ‘Price Tag’ by British pop singer Jessie J.
Made of Angel, Sheralyn and Jessica, the girl group are also the youngest in their category this year. They were inspired by the American girl group TLC.
I am rooting for these two acts since they are Filipinos. I just hope they can stay in the competition up to the Finale. We are so proud of you! Good luck guys!
The X Factor Australia will begin the Live Shows next week. Twelve contestants will vie for the title this year.
