Lyca Gairanod Crowned Winner Of The Voice Kids Philippines

Cavite’s Lyca Gairanod is the first winner of The Voice Kids Philippines! The nine-year-old contestant won the title after getting the highest percentage of public votes.

Gairanod beats the Fil-Canadian singer Darren Espanto, Cebuano crooner Juan Karlos Labajo and girl on fire Darlene Vibares.

Before joining The Voice, Gairanod used to scavenge junk and sing in her neighborhood to earn extra cash to help her family. Her mother is a junk scavenger and her father is a fisherman.

Lyca won the support of the viewers not only for her life’s story but also for her amazing voice. From blind auditions to the grand finals, she delivered outstanding performances.

Gairanod took home the P1M cash prize, one-year recording contract from MCA Universal, house and lot, home appliance showcase, musical instrument showcase and P1M worth of trust fund.

Meanwhile, The Voice Philippines Season 2 (adult version) is expected to premiere soon on ABS-CBN.

The Voice Kids Philippines will likely to have a second season after scoring high viewership ratings.

Below is Lyca’s breakout and winning performance during the The Voice Kids Philippines Finale on Sunday, July 27, at the Resorts World Manila.

Congratulations Lyca! As I predicted, you will win this competition!
