International singing sensation Charice was insulted by American singer Rex Smith.
Charice’s manager, Glenn Aldueza told ABS-CBN News that the singer was insulted by Rex Smith while she was rehearsing for a corporate show in Cebu this week.
Charice was doing her sound check for the event when the incident happened.
“We went there on time (2 p.m.) and she’s doing the sound check with the musical director. Then suddenly a foreigner came up to the stage and then he pointed his finger to Charice and told Charice, ‘Can you please stop what you are doing.”
Then Rex Smith confronted the musical director because he told Smith, “Can’t you see somebody is rehearsing?”
After the incident, Ovation Productions team said Smith will personally say sorry to Charice but it never happened. The incident was a case of misunderstanding, adding that they have already “sincerely apologized” to Charice and her group.
Rex Smith is known for hits like Simply Jessie and You Take My Breath Away during the 1970s.
