Miss World 2013 Megan Young finally have her say about Devina DeDiva’s racist comments!
Megan Young finally responded to the racist comments made by Devina DeDiva that sparks outrage online early this month.
We could recall that Devina DeDiva posted on her Facebook account saying, “Miss Philippines is Miss World? What a joke! I did not know those maids have anything else in them.”
Referring to Filipinas as maids, she also said that “they are poor, smelly from cleaning toilets and uneducated.”
“They are mostly filthy maids and will be only of that status. End of story,” DeDiva added.
After the posting, Devina DeDiva became the No. 1 trending topic in the Philippines on Twitter and became a hot topic on Facebook.
Now, here’s what Miss World 2013 Megan Young have to say about Devina DeDiva’s racist comments.
“I wish her the best… Pagdating sa ganyang tipo ng bagay, hindi ko na lang po pinapansin dahil hindi naman ‘yun dapat pinapansin,” Megan Young said in an interview with radio DZMM’s Zhander Cayabyab and other members of the press.
Megan Young arrived today in the Philippines. Her historic Miss World victory will be celebrated on Friday with a motorcade that will pass through Makati, EDSA and will end at the SM Mall of Asia.
She is also a special guest at the NBA Global Games at the Mall of Asia Arena Thursday night, she will do the ceremonial toss in the NBA pre-season game between the Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets.
Young is also set to visit Olongapo and Malacañang in the coming days.
