Surprising standout Jessica Sanchez from Las Vegas group rounds made it to the top 42.  Her seemingly powerful voice was quite a revelation to American idol viewers.

A veteran of stage performances tracing her way back from America’s Got Talent competition and musical program Showtime at the Apollo where she was given due recognition because of her enthralling performances.

Coming from Filipino-Mexican roots, Jessica Sanchez started singing at the age of 2.  Her raw talent and confidence in singing makes her definitely a stand-out.

Although she was not given enough screen time in American Idol 11, we were able to take a glimpse of her powerful voice and when she sang, Dang! That girl can definitely sing.  She caught my attention the minute she opened her voice and I just can’t believe that at age 16, she can have great control of her voice.  I’m sure she will go far in the competition.

With some details given, Paris Hilton confirmed that Afrojack is the executive producer of her brand new album. She is planning to drop the first single from the album in a month or two. Speaking on the red carpet at the Grammys, Paris said: “I’m doing a whole new album with Afrojack, he’s executive producing it, and we’re having amazing collaborations with LMFAO and Flo Rida and it’s been so much fun.”

Whitney Houston dies at age of 48, the award-winning and legendary singer was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday, February 11, 2012.

The singer was found unresponsive in her hotel room by a member of her entourage. Paramedics were called but Houston was pronounced dead at t 3:55 p.m. (6:55 p.m. ET) despite of resuscitation efforts, a police spokesman said.

Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures has released the latest movie trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, the fourth franchise of the Spider-Man movie.

The film centers on the early days of Peter Parker. The teaser revealed a young Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) discovering the power he acquired when he got bitten by a spider. Also, it gives a glimpse of the human-lizard villain. Watch the trailer below!

Here is the full-length and live version of David Archuleta’s latest tune Nandito Ako, the official theme song of his upcoming prime-time TV series of the same title.

The 20-year-old American Idol runner-up has been in the Philippines for two weeks to shoot his mini-series ‘Nandito Ako’ together with TV5 homegrown stars Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Eula Caballe.

David Archuleta will play the character of Josh Bradley, a Filipino-American singer, born and raised in the Philippines until he was 5 years old and got separated from his mother during a hotel fire. After the incident, he moved and lived in the U.S.A. then became an international singer. Josh returns to the Philippines to find out what really happened to his mother and also search for the little girl he encountered and befriended during the hotel fire.

The prime-time series ‘Nandito Ako’ premieres February 20.
