In the announcement made by the 52-year-old TV host during his noontime show “Wowowillie” on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, Willie Revillame revealed that he will retire upon the expiration of his contract on October 15, 2013. The host says he needs a long vacation, and will retire for some personal reason, which he opted not to share with the public.

“Alam ninyo, may mga personal na rason na hindi ko na sasabihin sa inyo. Ako muna’y magpapahinga ng ilang buwan, ng isang taon o anuman… Tatapusin ko na lang po ang kontrata ko sa TV5,” says Willie.

“Ganyan talaga ang buhay. Kasi kailangan ko rin ng time. Malungkot lang ay hindi tayo magkikita araw-araw. Wala nang sigawan, walang umiiyak sa saya, walang nabibigyan ng pamasahe, walang nabibigyan ng ganito.” “Maybe October 12 will be the last show ng Wowowillie,” he adds.

The controversial TV host, who previously run the “Wowowee” noontime show in ABS-CBN, also revealed that he have personally written TV5 chairman Manny V. Pangilinan about his decision.

“Anyway, tingnan po natin, baka may pagkakataon ay magkita-kita pa rin tayo. Yun lang po para matapos na ang haka-haka. Ako ay sumulat na sa pamunuan ng TV5, ako po ay nagpaalam na—May 17. Actually po, sinagot na nila ako na I think tinatanggap nila ‘yung aking pagpapaalam sa TV5. Para wala nang news, basta po tatapusin ko ang kontrata ko hanggang October,” he said.

In a report of Inquirer.net, Peachy Guioguio of TV5’s corporate communications department quoted: “We respect the decision of Mr. Willie Revillame to retire upon the expiry of his contract with TV5. We wish him well in his new pursuits.”

Kellie Pickler and her pro partner Derek Hough was announced winner of Dancing With The Stars Season 16 beating other three pairs Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff, Alexandra Raisman & Mark Ballas and Zendaya & Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

It was an astonishing run for Pickler, who clinched the victory, thanks to the perfect scores in her final dances of competition, including two this week.

Here’s the final result, in fourth place Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas, third place Jacoby and Karina, and the runner up Zendaya and Val.

Kellie gained fame as a contestant on the fifth season of the Fox reality show American Idol, eventually finishing in sixth place.

This footage shows the formation of the deadly Tornado occurred in Moore, Oklahoma on Monday, May 20, 2013.

The tornado, with winds estimated at 190 miles per hour (310 km/h), was given a preliminary rating of “at least EF4″ by the National Weather Service in Norman, Oklahoma.

The deadly tornado wipes out neighborhoods, trailer parks, schools, businesses and other structures in the area killing at least 24 people, including 9 children, and injuring more than 240 others. See the video report from ABC News.

Who won the Dancing with the Stars Season 16? No results yet but the winner will be announced tonight, May 21, 2013!

After 10 weeks of dance off, Dancing with the Stars have come to its season finale, and it was Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff, Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough, Alexandra Raisman & Mark Ballas and Zendaya & Valentin Chmerkovskiy who made it to the Finals.  Who will take home the Mirror Ball? Only one couple will be crowned Dancing with the Stars Champions.

The Finale will feature music from Pitbull, who will perform his new single, “Hands Up,” and Wynonna will sing “I Want to Know What Love Is.” In addition, PSY will take to the stage with his latest hit, “Gentleman,” and Jessica Sanchez will sing her version of Pitbull’s “Feel This Moment.”

Tonight, the fourth-place couple will be eliminated within the first hour of the show. The three remaining couples will perform a new routine in an “Instant Dance.” This routine will be scored out of 30 and will round out the judges’ scores across both nights.

On Thursday , the Top 6 senatorial candidates including Grace Poe, Loren Legarda, Alan Peter Cayetano, Francis Escudero, Nancy Binay and Sonny Angara has been formally proclaimed as Senators  after leading the senatorial race of May 13 Philippine election.

On Friday, Benigno Bam Aquino, Aquilino Koko Pimentel, and Antonio Trillanes were officially proclaimed as newly elect senators.

And on Saturday, the Commission on Elections proclaimed the final three winning senators, who completed the magic 12 of this year’s senatorial race. The official count revealed that Cynthia Villar, JV Ejercito and Gregorio Honasan occupied the remaining 3 slots of the magic 12.

Dick Gordon landed 13th place with more than 700K vote margin to Honasan.

In round two, the couples will be challenged to a Cha Cha relay, where each pair dances to a different section of the same song. In the last round — and one of the biggest competitive dances of the season — the couples take on a supersized freestyle featuring special effects, additional dancers and unexpected surprises.
