Robin Padilla is being called racist and rude after forcing a Korean contestant to speak in Tagalog during Saturday’s episode of Pilipinas Got Talent
On Saturday’s episode of PGT, the show aired the audition of close-up magician Kim Jiwan from South Korea.
Kim introduced and described himself as a “Korean but Filipino by heart.” Before his performance, Jiwan asked if he could use Robin for his act, but Padilla refused.
“I’m very sorry, you cannot use me. Can you see that? Firstly, speak in Tagalog before you talk to me,” said Robin Padilla.
Angel Locsin breaks the tension and teach Jiwam how to ask for help in Filipino.
Things gets even more awkward when Padilla scolded Kim Jiwan.

The incident earned negative remarks from the viewers and called Padilla rude and racist.
Here’s what netizens had to say about the issue.
Robin Padilla, you completely lost my respect. Get the hell out of that show. Talent knows no color, no age, no gender, and no LANGUAGE.
Racism, or any form of discrimination, has no place in this civilized society. We cannot afford to take one step backward. #iStandAgainstRacism

I’m sorry but I lost my respect for Robin Padilla. Filipinos who join talent shows on other countries are not being humiliated just because they can’t speak their native language. What the ef is your problem Mr Padilla #PGTisLife
