Bagyong Urduja remains slow-moving over northern portion of Samar, weather agency PAGASA said on Sunday, December 17, 2017.
According to PAGASA, Bagyong Urduja is located at at the vicinity of Calbayog City, Samar on Sunday.
Urduja is packed maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 110 kph and forecast to move West at 13 kph.
It is expected to traverse the area of Palawan in the next 24 hours.
Public Storm Signal #2 was issued in the provinces of Sorsogon, Masbate including Ticao Island, Romblon, and Cuyo Islands Northern Samar, northern part of Samar, Biliran, Aklan, Capiz, northern part of Antique, and northern part of Iloilo
Public Storm Signal #1 was raised in Southern part of Occidental Mindoro, southern part of Oriental Mindoro Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Albay, Burias Island, and northern portion of Palawan including Calamian Group of Islands Rest of Iloilo, rest of Antique, Guimaras, northern part of Negros Occidental, northern part of Cebu, Leyte, Eastern Samar, and Rest of Samar
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals elsewhere have been lifted.
Fisherfolks and those with small sea crafts are advised not to venture out. Sea travel remains risky over the seaboards of areas under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals.
