Senator Antonio Trillanes has criticized President Rodrigo Duterte’s declaration of martial law in Mindanao.
According to Trillanes, Duterte may soon put the entire Philippines in Martial Law.
“Duterte may declare martial law in the whole country soon. He is conditioning the mind of the nation that martial law is just ok,” said Trillanes.
“It’s an extreme option. When you are declaring martial law, there should be conflict in different places of Mindanao, but there’s nothing like that,” he explained.
“It was like a trigger-happy declaration. I think he really like this to happen,” he added.
