Filipino musician and writer Jim Paredes has broke his silence regarding the news claiming that he called Mindanaoans as ‘Taong Bundok.’

In a series of post, Paredes tells to public not to believe an article written on a website which appears to be a Fake News.

“My FB account has close to 4K friends. Don’t be fooled by fake sites. Trolls know they are losing the war on truth so they are desperate,” Paredes wrote on a tweet.

“I NEVER referred to Mindanaoans as Taong Bundok. My own mother is from Mindanao. Lies lies lies spread by trolls and losers on fake sites,” he added.

Jim Paredes is known as a Liberal Party supporter. He often voice out his political views and opinions but constantly bashed by Duterte supporters online.
