The Low Pressure Area (former Bagyong Auring) was located at 165 km South of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, PAGASA said on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
According to PAGASA, two weather systems are affecting the country today — the Low Pressure Area in Palawan region and the Northeast Monsoon in central and northern Luzon.
These weather systems may bring cloudy skies and slight to heavy rains in the areas of Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Aurora, Quezon and Palawan.

Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flash floods and land slides will be experienced over the regions of Bicol, Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Aurora, Quezon and Palawan.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will prevail over CARAGA and the rest of MIMAROPA and of Visayas.
Cloudy skies with light rains is expected over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley and the rest of Central Luzon and of CALABARZON.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced over the rest of Luzon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas.
The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to east with slight to moderate seas.
