Watch: Duterte to implement Nationwide Smoking Ban in the Philippines

President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to sign an executive order declaring a nationwide smoking ban this October 2016.

According to reports, DOH Secretary Paulyn Ubial already submitted the executive order to the President for signature, and was expected to get inked this October.

The draft is a replica of Davao City’s no smoking policy implemented by Duterte during his time as a Mayor.

“There will be no smoking in public places anymore, whether indoor or outdoor. Parks, bus stations, and even in vehicles. All these are considered public places,” Ubial said.
