President Rodrigo Duterte personally welcomes the 128 stranded OFWs from Saudi Arabia at NAIA on Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
In his speech, President Duterte said he wanted to go to Riyadh to personally lend help to stranded OFWs who loses their job.
He explained that some officials stopped him from going there to avoid issues.
Duterte said that the government have money, means, resources and contingency to repatriate suffering OFWs in the Middle East.
The President promises some monetary assistance to the repatriates. He also adds that they can go to him anytime and don’t hesitate to ask if they badly needed help.
