President Rodridgo Duterte invites wounded soldiers to a dinner in Malacañang Palace on Monday, August 29, 2016.
As promised, President Duterte hosted a dinner in Malacañang to honor the 64 soldiers who got wounded during their operations in Visayas and Mindanao regions.
These are the admitted soldier at V. Luna Hospital in Quezon City.
They were wounded during their operations against groups such as the Abu Sayaff and the New People’s Army.
One of the soldier invited is Lieutenant Jerome Jacuba, the soldier who got blinded after a shrapnel exploded near his eyes during an operation in Maguindanao.
During the event, Duterte gifted some of the soldiers with motorized wheelchair and laptop. He also said he will give a car (not sure if true or just a joke).
