In a press conference in Davao City on Thursday, President Duterte apologizes to Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno for the harsh words he uttered last Tuesday.
The president is referring to his speech at Camp Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro that came to a point of warning the Supreme Court to declare martial law if they continue to interfere in his war against drugs.
“I apologize to the Chief Justice for the harsh words that is never intended,” said President Duterte.
“Because of the magnitude of the problem, it was my way of solving the problem within the ambit of my powers as president,” he added.
