The President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Roa Duterte, is set to deliver his first State of the Nation Address at the Batasang Pambansa on Monday, July 25, 2016.
President Duterte will deliver his first SONA on Monday afternoon. He is expected to talk about the present economic, political, and social condition of the country as well as the accomplishments and plans of the government to “change” the Philippines.
According to secretary Martin Andanar, President Duterte wrote his own speech and it’s so powerful to awaken the patriot in every Filipino. Andanar also admitted that the speech made him cry after reading it for the first time.
The speech is expected to last for about 38 minutes or more excluding the adlibs.
