The Duterte administration is set to launch government hotlines 911 and 888 in August!
Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said in an interview that they will launch two 24-hour government hotlines in August.
“We’re lunching this in August — 8888 plus the 911 hotline,” Andanar told media.
The “8888” hotline is dedicated to receive people’s complaints while the “911” hotline will be the new national emergency telephone number in the Philippines, replacing the 117 hotline.

President Duterte first mentioned the project during their first cabinet meeting on June 30.
